Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the Fremont County Joint School District #215 (FCSD) website. This is a great school district! The FCSD encompasses Fremont County and parts of Madison County and is located in eastern Idaho.  We border Montana to our north, Wyoming to our east, Clark and Jefferson Counties to our west, and Madison and Teton Counties to our south.  The Fremont school system serves over 2200 students in 8 different accredited schools located in 4 different communities.  School district personnel work diligently with parents and community members to provide students with a comprehensive education that is preparing them for success in post-secondary educational and career opportunities.
From the Board of Trustees to classroom teachers, FCSD is fortunate to have an abundance of skilled and dedicated people working for the district. Please engage our employees; including support staff, teachers, administrators, board members and me regarding any topic of interest about educating our children so they may be successful to reach their personal goals and dreams as adults. My door is always open and I enjoy sharing how important our children’s education is to us.

An area of improvement that I have seen is that our Leadership Team, which consists of the central office administrators, directors, and our principals has spent more time recently strengthening our understanding of what we need to do as a district to improve. Through various professional development activities at our regular meetings we are learning to work together more effectively to move our district forward.

In November, our Leadership Team and Board of Trustees met to review our current Strategic Plan. At this meeting we established the foundational goals upon which our schools can build their individual building Strategic Plans designed for continuous improvement. Your input is welcome as we continue to develop these goals and strengthen the district.

I am glad to be a part of a district which focuses on student engagement and continuous improvement. I hope that you too are proud of what we are doing, and if not, please share your concerns with me.
