Jean was born and raised in St. Anthony and is a proud graduate from the Fremont County school system.  Upon graduation from south Fremont High school she went to college, graduating from Brigham Young University.  Wanting to see the world and gain some life experiences she enlisted in the Air Force and proudly served for four years, first as a hospital medic and then cross training to become an aero-evacuation medic working as a crew member on a DC-9 jet.  Deciding to return to school she got her teaching credentials and was hired to teach at North Fremont Junior/senior High School where she taught for 29 years.  Wanting to continue to be active in education she became a member of the school board.
